Job Opportunity: Stock Condition Surveyor, DEA & Retrofit Assessor
TSA Surveying are currently working in partnership with a prominent building consultancy looking to add a contract surveyor to their team in Huddersfield.
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced professionals to undertake Stock Condition Surveys, Domestic Energy Assessments (DEA), and Retrofit Assessments on social housing properties. Using a tablet device, you will record property condition, energy efficiency, and compliance with housing safety standards.
Please note: Not all surveyors need to be qualified Retrofit Assessors. We welcome applicants with just a DEA accreditation.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting stock condition surveys to assess the remaining lifespan of key components (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms)
- Evaluating the internal and external condition of residential properties
- Applying the HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) to identify health and safety risks
- Carrying out EPC assessments as a qualified DEA
- Performing retrofit assessments (where applicable)
- Proven experience in stock condition surveying, energy assessments, or retrofit assessments
- Accreditation as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA)
- Retrofit Assessor qualification (desirable but not essential for all roles)
- Familiarity with HHSRS
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using tablets and survey software
